Next meeting 25 January -- BE THERE!
Our next STAR meeting is this coming Wednesday (25 Jan). Meet us in D206 at 1pm and help tackle our ambitious 'to do' list this term -- speaker events, film festival, photo exhibition, volunteering -- the list goes on! All are welcome.

STAR will hold its first committee meeting of Lent term this Wednesday, 18 January at 1pm in room B301.
As always, committee meetings are open to all -- swing by and bring a friend.

-trip to a refugee camp/settlement
-programme to mentor refugee kids one-on-one

Unable to work in the UK, asylum-seekers are forced to live on less than the minimum income support benefit, often leading to destitution for individuals or entire families.
Please sign the petition linked to below and tell Home Secretary Charles Clarke to request an end to penalizing and degrading those most vulnerable and in need of our support:
